goods and services in the area are basically tax-free.

Most existing industrial and port activities in the neighborhood of the
Project are governed by concession contracts granted by Panamanian
authority. These contracts usually lasts for just a limited amount of time
and all investments on land improvements, equipments, buildings,
facilities, hardware as well as software are to be transferred to the
government as soon as the contracts terminate. In contrast, the title and
ownership of any investment on the Project is

the proposal of
THE EXPANSION OF PANAMA CANAL. This
US$5.2 Billions mega-project
is expected to take 8 years. At its
completion, post-panamax size vessels that are capable of carrying
8,000  shipboard containers and super oil tankers will be able to transit
through the canal. Water traffic in the area will grow tremendously. The
